VORDANIA CITY — What was once the proud symbol of communal strength has now become a cautionary tale of blind nationalism.
Under President Remos Nair’s so-called “self-sufficiency doctrine,” entire provinces are reporting food shortages, skyrocketing prices, and vanishing medical supplies.
In a leaked report allegedly suppressed by the Ministry of Trade, 90% of rural cooperatives are in debt, while over 12,000 small-scale farms have ceased operations since January.
An anonymous economist from the Central Planning Institute warns:
“We’re weeks away from full economic paralysis. Without Aurelian support, we simply cannot feed ourselves.”
Meanwhile, images from the outskirts of Veris province show abandoned greenhouses, rotting produce, and children lining up for bread rations in what locals are calling the “Spring of Hunger.”
